I was shocked by how much I enjoyed this book! When I picked it up I was expecting the stories to be centered around demons, ghosts, or human killers, as the majority of Creepypastas are. However, Russel's writing is focused on gore and weirdness, pretty much all the tales fit into the cosmic horror subgenre, which I'm not a fan of. That's why my enjoyment surprised me so much, I literally have never liked Lovecraftian-style horror, but I adored this collection.
My absolute favorite thing is that, as you read, you can identify points of connection between the stories. It starts out very subtle, with only a couple of small details linking the tales together, but when you get to the last stories it all comes together and all of the puzzle pieces fall into place.
I cannot recommend this enough. However, if you're a squirmish person, you should probably skip this one. Or you can do what I did and skim over the more gory descriptions and pat yourself on the back for having such a strong stomach.
